Watercolor Painting

Yes, at LEOH you can even dabble in the arts!

We are pleased to have Marie Schaer (pictured above with two of her paintings) as our Watercolor Painting Instructor.   Ms. Schaer, an award-winning watercolorist, studied at the Glassell School of Art under Arthur Turner and obtained her Certificate of Completion   in 1980. She has experience in a wide range of media, including approximately seventeen years in watercolor.  She served as Committee Chair for the Watercolor Art Society – Houston (WAS-H) website in 2015.  She has won awards in WAS-H shows and one of her paintings was included in the Assistance League of Houston Celebrates Texas 2018 show at the Williams Tower.  Above are two examples of her watercolor paintings.

This class meets from 1 pm until about 3:00 pm on the Thursdays (when LEOH is in session and meeting in person at the Bellaire UMC).   Since this class does provide a professional teacher who provides individual instruction, an additional fee of $40 is charged at the time of registration.
